What Initiative Were Taken? : Innovative measures for mass disinfection

Details : The steps of the operation were as follows: 1. Identification of hotspots in South Delhi 2. Deployment of disinfectant spraying teams in the affected areas 3. Machine sprayers along with a team from the fire brigade, drones and officials fully covered with PPE’s were deployed with involvement of public representation 4. Sanitization of all vehicles including public buses and police vehicles, and the surrounding area by Public Health workers wearing proper PPE kits. 5. Distribution of masks and soaps among the residents in the area 6. A final survey to access the final overview of the situation

Outcome : The purpose of this initiative is to deploy effective manpower and machineries for the fight against COVID-19, maintaining the morale of SK’s, continuous surveillance and mapping of vulnerable areas through drones and on-time curbing of COVID-19 through proper steps to avoid further spreading. Till now, 721600 houses are sanitized, 8313 localities are covered by tankers, 4742 colonies covered for IEC, screening of 112902 flu patients, 804 banners displayed on toilet blocks and metro trains, 2000000 awareness campaign through SMS to mobile users and more than 65000Lt. of Sodium Hypochlorite has been used.
