What Initiative Were Taken? : “Daal Bhat Kendra” in AHP Sites of PMAY

Details : COVID-19 poses an extraordinary challenge for India—both for infectious disease control and for maintaining food security and livelihoods.In its response Jharkhand Chief Minister Sri Hemant Soren ordered to provide two months ration in advance to the beneficiaries of the public distribution system, during lockdown period to contain the corona virus outbreak. To ensure hundred percent coverage of PMAY (U) beneficiaries with sufficient ration during this lockdown, Director, SLNA directed all ULBs to link the PMAY(U) beneficiaries to local ration dealers. Director, SLNA advised all ULBs to link PMAY (U) beneficeries with the State driven Daal Bhat Yojna Kender of their respective area.

Outcome : To ensure hundred percent coverage of PMAY (U) beneficiaries with sufficient ration during this lockdown, Director, SLNA directed all ULBs to link the PMAY(U) beneficiaries to local ration dealers. In Jharkhand kalirekha Matri Kusth Ashram at Deoghar, Navjeevan Ashram, Jamshedpur and Jamjoria in Chas have around 550 families and all of them are daily earner. In a tale-conferencing with the Executive Officers of the ULBs, Director, SLNA advised all ULBs to link PMAY (U) beneficeries with the State driven Daal Bhat Yojna Kender of their respective area and provide prepared food to the needy beneficiaries.
